Morning departure for one of the world’s most important museums, the British Museum, which houses a vast collection of works of art from every corner of the globe, including the famous Elginia Marbles – the sculptures from its fronts, pediments and pediments Parthenon, one of the six Caryatids of the Erechtheion, as well as other objects from various buildings of the Athenian Acropolis (Temple of Victory, Propylaia). We will then depart for Windsor, where we will have the opportunity to admire the eponymous castle-residence of the kings of England since the time of William the Conqueror (optional entry). We will visit the official apartments, the Queen’s doll’s house and St. George’s Chapel. Free time to enjoy a stroll through the picturesque streets of the city. And back to London.
For the afternoon we recommend an optional 4-hour night tour of London (optional, individual expenses).
Description of optional excursion. We will walk through the center of the night entertainment of the city and see the West End with its wonderful musicals, Soho with its dark and special alleys, China Town, Leicester Square, the square where the premieres of Hollywood blockbusters take place, etc. Then we will board the coach for a night tour along the Thames with photo stops at the city’s finest landmarks including the London Eye, Big Ben, Millennium Bridge, Saint Paul’s, More London Place, Tower Bridge, Shard. Return to the hotel late in the evening. Overnight. (£50 per adult and £25 per child /payable direct to leader).
