  • Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Triple rooms in all hotels are, in essence, double rooms with an extra bed. Usually they are not particularly comfortable and the extra bed can be smaller than the regular ones or a sofa or a folding one.
  • On departures 24,28,29,30,31/12 at the HOLIDAY INN BLOOMSBURY hotel there are no triple and twin rooms available
  • The family room at the CROWNE PLAZA KINGS CROSS hotel is a room with 2 king size beds.
  • The family room at the THISTLE MARBLE ARCH & HOLIDAY INN BLOOMSBURY hotels is a room with 1 double bed and a small sofa.

Itinerary

Day 1Athens - London, City Tour, Visit to the British Museum

Meet at the airport and fly with BRITISH to London. Upon arrival, we will begin our acquaintance with the British capital from the aristocratic suburb of South Kensington, where we will admire the massive, imposing museums of Natural History, Science, Victoria and Albert, we will see the monument dedicated to Prince Albert and the Royal Albert Hall. We will then pass through Knightsbridge with its tasteful department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols
Crossing Park Lane, we’ll see Marble Arch and classy Mayfair. We continue to the official residence of the Royal family – the famous Buckingham Palace – and pass by Westminster with Parliament Square, dominated by the statues of National Heroes, the Abbey, inextricably linked to the British monarchy, art and history, the Parliament building and Big Ben, the emblem of the city.
Finally, we will visit one of the most important museums in the world, the British Museum, which houses a huge collection of works of art from every corner of the planet, including the famous Parthenon Marbles – the sculptures from the metopes, the zoophorae and the pediments of the Parthenon, one of the six Caryatids of the Erechtheum, as well as other objects from various buildings of the Athenian Acropolis (Temple of Victory, Propylaia).

Day 2London, Free day / Optional: Night city tour

Free day for walks, shopping and visits to museums, galleries, etc. For your shopping you can start from Oxford Street, the most shopping street in Europe, the beautiful Regent Street, the countless shops with all the brand names of Bond Street and Carnaby Street, which is a fashionista’s paradise. Art and science lovers can choose one of the city’s dozens of museums, such as the Natural History Museum with 80,000,000 exhibits, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the world’s largest decorative arts museum, the Imperial War Museum, the modern art gallery Tate (Tate Gallery), For the afternoon we recommend an optional 4-hour night tour of London (individual expenses). Day 4London, Free day / Optional visit to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

Free day to explore the city further. We suggest you visit one of the dozens of beautiful London parks, such as Saint James Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park, Hyde Park. Optional: For those who wish, they can register and visit Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, the best of its kind, to get to know… up close great personalities of history, politics, show biz and sports. (Ticket, pre-booked, coach transfer: £50 per adult and £45 per child / payable directly to leader).

Day 5London, Free day Optional: Day trip to Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon

Free day to explore the city further. We also suggest you take part in a day trip to Oxford Optional Tour Description Today we will depart for our excursion (individual expenses) to the countryside of England with our first visit to the famous Oxford University campus where we will have the opportunity to admire a mixture of from medieval buildings, ecclesiastical obelisks rising above ancient colleges, manicured flower beds and gardens, square courtyards with colonnades and gables. Free time for walking and shopping. Our next visit, the town of Stratford-upon-Avon (Stratford-upon-Avon), the birthplace of one of the world’s greatest playwrights and poets, William Shakespeare. Optional visit to the house where the ‘Bard of Stratford’ was born and lived and free time for lunch and a stroll along the banks of the River Avon. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight. Day 6London - Windsor - Athens

Morning departure for Windsor, where we will have the opportunity to admire the castle of the same name – residence of the kings of England since the time of William the Conqueror (optional entrance). We will visit the official apartments, the Queen’s doll’s house and St. George’s Chapel. Then we will have time to enjoy a walk through the picturesque alleys of the city. Transfer to the airport and boarding the flight to Athens.
